After Will and Sebastian's fierce battle in the skies, Sebastian fell back to the earth and laid there, perfect even in defeat, his eyes and ears shut to the world. Then he died.

For twelve seconds.

And in those twelve seconds, Grell was taken back to the Reaper world, the Undertaker put on some tea for when Master Phantomhive awoke, and Sebastian was freed from the Deal. Then his eyes opened, and he sat up, and stood. He looked at his hand and slowly, carefully, took off his glove. His scar, binding his soul to Ceils, was gone. So he was free. He was free to return to the demon realm, or apparently, wander the human world freely. He had never been free in the human world before. Only reapers and humans could be in the human world without a master, and he knew he couldn't be a human.

"Hello, Master." Said a voice from behind. Sebastian turned, and a plump young woman looked back at him, a sweet smile on her face.

"Hello." He said, smiling a secretive, toothless smile.

"My name is Evangeline. I am guide to all new Reapers. Would you like any assistance at this time?"

"Yes I would." He said, his smile haunting. "If you could take me to Master William's home, I would greatly appreciate it."

Grell awoke at the sound of clicking.

He opened his lime green eyes, staring at the wall and thinking about the past. He didn't regret saving that little brat Cecile or whatever. He wished quite desperately however that he had saved Sebastian first.  The clicking resumed and he sat up, looking over at the window. A silhouette of a figure in the window laid on the floor, and he stood up, looking out the window. The figure wore all black, with high stiletto heels and spiked black hair, and it took a moment for Grell to recognize him.

Immediately when he did he opened the window and Sebastian flew in, landing on the ground and flashing Grell a vicious, sharply fanged smile.

"Hello, Miss Sutcliff." Grell ran at him, throwing his arms around him and hugged him tightly, nothing else mattering but the man standing above him. Delicately, doubtfully, Sebastian rested his hands on Grell's back, and after a moment, rested his cheek on Grell's head. He closed his eyes, and they stood there in silence for several minutes before Grell pulled away, looking up at Sebastian with a soft, pleading look.

"I must admit that being a reaper is a new experience, and perhaps not a bad one." He said with a curious smile. "It seems this change has made me very much more… outlandish." It was true; his clothes were still black but he was wearing a skirt and black heeled boots, and a long jacket that went down to his ankles and shined a little in the moonlight. He winked at Grell seductively.

"I'm also curious as to why my first impulse was to see you, not begin my life anew. Perhaps you would like to find out with me?"

The sex was amazing. It began with soft, gentle kissing, then escalated as they drew closer together, their bodies touching, their tongues dancing. By the end Grell was fast asleep in Sebastian's arms, his head nestled between his Sebby's chin and his shoulder. Sebastian however, was wide awake, the first high all reapers received when they were created slowly wearing off. It was a natural occurrence; when a lower being becomes a reaper, their senses blossomed, their body ran off of pure ecstasy and adrenalin, and their sexual desires strengthened tenfold.  The high only lasted a few days, and it was finally wearing off for Sebastian. He wasn't reverting to his old self--not completely. He still enjoyed his new look, and he still had surprising, unexpected feelings for Grell, but he couldn't think. He needed to breathe, to think, and while Grell was fast asleep he tucked him in and disappeared out into the night, before Grell could awake and convince him to stay.
